Indonesia has just had a new president. Dated on October 20th, 2014, Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla officially served as president and vice-president of the Republic of Indonesia. As head of the new government, has a cabinet minister is a mandatory thing. However, up to five days after his inauguration, the president has yet to announce who the ministers that will accompany them of government to undergo the next five years.

The announcement of the new cabinet has made the market uneasy. Markets expect President Joko Widodo immediately announced his cabinet so that the market can be stable. There is no certainty cabinet announcement raises the speculation of political analysts and the public. There was also the suspicion of a tug of interests with the coalition parties and the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Struggle Megawati Sukarnoputri.
Securities economist Samuel Lana Soelistianingsih said if Jokowi not immediately announce a cabinet, the market has begun to question the reason for the delay of the announcement. And if immediately announced, economy minister selected can directly work.
While the approach related to the coalition Gerindra, according to Lana it may just happen. Moreover, communication between Prabowo and Jokowi has improved. The market rate it is not something negative, because politics can always compromise.
Meanwhile, the President Jokowi provided clarifications related announcement of his new cabinet. Jokowi want a cabinet that is free from corruption and responsible. Therefore, Jokowi deliberately ask for consideration of the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center / INTRAC) and Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission / ICEC to ensure that their minister are the most appropriate. After all this procedure are complete, then President Jokowi may immediately announce his new cabinet.
However, based on consideration of both institutions, there are eight names are not recommended due to several records. To that end, the president must find a replacement of eight prospective ministers and back submit it to the INTRAC and ICEC. Furthermore, the president still has to deliver it to the Parliament for approval by the relevant nomenclature changes in the new ministry.
Economist at Standard Chartered Bank Ichsan assess the formation of the cabinet when it's widened the market's attention. Investors expect the cabinet to be formed was friendly cabinet. The structure of the cabinet must be equipped with the figures of technocrats, professionals as well as from politicians. That’s why, Jokowi has to choose carefully.
