MAHATMA GANDHI – KEEP NON-VIOLENCE

On October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, India, was born a boy whose name is now known almost all over the world. His parents gave him the name of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. His family is devout Hindus, thus he runs his life to keep various principles of Hinduism with good execution, including by being a vegetarian. He also frequently undergoes fasting to purify himself.
At age 13, Gandhi has been married to a friend of his father's daughter, Kasturba. Kasturba was a devoted wife who then gives four children to Gandhi. Once married, Gandhi chose to explore the science of law by studying in London, England. After completing his studies, Gandhi returned to India in 1891. He then used to open a legal aid organization in India.
In 1893, Gandhi went to South Africa to open a law office there. At that time, South Africa was still under British rule. British ruled under discrimination that is occurred massive humiliation in South Africa, which was directly felt by Gandhi when he arrived in South Africa. At that time, Gandhi intended to travel by train executive class. But, he was actually expelled and thrown from the train, although Gandhi have a ticket. In 1915, Gandhi returned to India to fight for freedom in the country. The principle of non-violence still holding firmly by Gandhi. For Gandhi, the best way to fight oppression and injustice is not cooperating, and not by violence. Because the principles are held here, Gandhi earns the title of 'Mahatma' which means "Great Soul".
In the struggle against oppression with nonviolence is not easy. Not a few groups of people who were killed simply because of the violence have been adopted. While Gandhi many times should go to jail. Gandhi and the Indian people's struggle spread and attracted worldwide attention. It makes the British government who was occupying India got a lot of pressure, until finally in 1947, the British decided to grant independence to India.
Unfortunately, the happiness did not last long independence. Days later, the Indian civil war was declared between Muslims and Hindus. Both were attacking. Face this hard situation, Gandhi chose hunger strike to make it back along his two brothers. Then, Gandhi succeeded in making Muslims and Hindus stop their war. Gandhi then spent to keep the peace between the two brothers, the Muslims and Hindus. It's just that, a group of supporters just did not like his attitude. This hatred leads Gandhi met his death.
